Here is the thirteenth of the Church Wardens’ messages to the Parish:
As all schools and families face real difficulties at this time we understand that Mr Hateley and his excellent team at St Wilfrid’s have responded well to the many challenges they face. Please remember all members of our School and other places of education in your prayers.
Whilst our churches are closed we hope that you have been able to attend our weekly services which are streamed on Facebook at 10.00am on Sundays and 9.30am on Wednesdays. Even if you cannot join them when they are broadcast you can ‘catch up’ with Father Mike’s, David’s and John’s recordings by visiting our Facebook pages from Google where you can also see further information about the church which is also available on our web page.
Your PCC and Standing Committee have been using ZOOM for meetings and on Christmas Eve we held a Christmas event specifically for children. As we are not able to meet or reach out to friends, families and colleagues, ZOOM does allow us to keep in touch with each other. We have therefore decided to hold a Virtual Coffee Morning (bring your own coffee!) next Wednesday 20th January from 10.15am until 11.00am which will still enable you to attend Father John’s Facebook Eucharist. This will simply give you an opportunity to see your friends and join in conversations without having to worry about masks, sanitiser and social distancing!
We hope you can join us on Wednesday. To join the Coffee Morning click on the following link:

Next week is designated as the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and our friends from Haywards Heath Methodist Church have invited us via ZOOM to join with them and other local Christian communities in prayer and meditation. Details can be found on the poster that Melvyn will send out with our message.
Finally, despite a temporary set-back in Melvyn’s Charity Run plans, you can follow his daily progress on this web page: https://www.loveyfoundation.org/what-we-do and see how close he is to reaching his financial target.
Until next week, keep safe…..
